The Narrator’s General Interpretation of Ancient
Astrology Introduced:
The narrator briefly introduces his understanding of ancient astrology. He relates that humans worshiped the sun in the past. He says that the tracking of stars allowed the ancients to make predictions (i.e., about eclipses). The ancients categorized stars into constellations. He also mentions the “cross of the Zodiac.” There are 12 major constellations. These constellations were anthropomorphized. The sun was known as “God’s sun,” “the savior,” and “the light of the world.”1 All of these labels are found in Acharya S' book The Christ Conspiracy. The zodiac represents the path the sun travels through the constellations. The Aquarius constellation was believed to be “the bringer of rain.”
